Hi, FroghairFarm.
Some folks were complaining that there wasn't much activity on the BB of late. Well, this topic has sure got some activity happening with a total of three threads currently running on various aspects of it. Nice to see the club come alive and to hear the differing points of view and perspectives.

Just my 0.02.

You have a wonderful day. Best wishes. Deas Plant.

There has definitely been activity, maybe not the kind we would all like, but there has been! I for one would like to move past the disruption and get back to "normal".

I appreciate everyone's point of view. Thank you.

I will post a quick hello to everyone, and yes, the other Directors are also putting their "shoulders to the wheel" even though we have not posted here much. I am most thankful for the support being shown for us during this unpleasant situation and we are all following the many posts made concerning this issue. Please keep commenting and big thanks to fellow Director Kurt for keeping folks informed on this Forum.

Please understand that the hill remains very steep going forward as we have now four Board seats MT. Jim Heater and I are retiring after putting in many hours dedicated to making the club better. If anyone here wishes to take our place, please let one of the remaining Directors know. You will be welcomed with open arms. We will find a place on the wheel for you!

A lot of you on here are my personal friends, and to them I say I hello and I'm sorry that it has come to this.

As I read thru this post. I see enough bullshit all around that I need to be careful not to ramble on into many directions and write more than anybody wants to read. First off, I am the one whom Kurt talked to today. I was called a few weeks ago and was informed that people were not happy with the running of the club. After an hour's conversation about our likes and dislikes of the way the club does business, I was asked to give my permission to use my name on the top of the letter. I stated that I had have very little activity other than Chapter3 events since I finished my term on the board. I clearly stated that I did not know enough about the current board to make any educated decision about their handling of business. I'll repeat myself; I did not give anyone permission to use my name! It pisses me of that my name was used without my permission. I was told I would be sent a letter to review and then we could talk again. I never seen that letter and never heard another word until I received and read the same letter the other day that you all got. Yes, I have opinions like everyone else on what could and should change, but it is a democracy and I am a fighting believer in democracy. I challenge the very opinioned folks on here to jump right up and help run the club, instead of staying at the easy job of quarterbacking yesterdays game. Being a board member is a thankless job at best, and personally I don't think any board member, past or present, had or has anything but the best interest of the club in mind. The only thing is there are a lot of different minds out there. Well, back to the shop and the sanity there. This crap is the biggest reason I seldom log in anymore.
A loyal supporter for as long as it lasts,
Roger Thieling

Thank you Roger, and I appreciate your time today and respect your opinions. I agree with you and think that we all want a better, stronger Club. Let's go about it in a way that is respectful of differences of opinion and looks to make progress through constructive discussions.

I have to say that I can appreciate your and others past service now that I have been on the board! I say, let's get our sh*t together and get going.

Who is, Concerned Members of ACMOC ?
The address of 1438 South Main Street, Morton IL, 61550, leads to little information,
and the Postage Permit holder #405, leads to,
Mortek LLC, 619 Southwest Water St, Peoria IL, 61602, 309-370-4058,
Which also leads to little information and a dead or problematic web site. ??

I don't think it is intended to be a secret that the Morton address is the shop of Tom Stanesa, and also the site of the planned meeting. Tom is named on the letter and has hosted several club and chapter events at his shop over the years. He also is a long-time member, frequent volunteer for club and chapter activities, former member of the year recipient, and consistent sponsor level donor to the club.

Thanks,
Dave Tallon

So today I’ve received a mailed copy of the “concerns” a glossy printed leaflet and envelope with concerned members printed on it. I’m a U.K. member !!! So the cost of this ??
What are these people thinking ,
Looks like they haven’t a clue about overheads and minimising costs and how to run a club that can live within its means , once again they look the same things that have nearly finished the club!! more magazines and selling toys at a loss why not put some people on the payroll as well while your at it guys!!!

Just my 0.02.

You have a wonderful day. Best wishes. Deas Plant.
