What options? Seems to me we are being diverted into Contract Chapters or nothing.

There are options, and we are still vetting them. One option is the contract route, another will be a "Social Affiliate" (name to be determined, but not a chapter), and others we are still in progress with. It could also be a subsidiary chapter where the chapter pays the club to do all the filings, etc. annually.

That's where I was going with the funding. Local Chapters have been collecting dues ....for what? It would seem reasonable that these funds could be tapped for a central handling of incorporation issues. I just don't see where it makes sense to burden each/every chapter with legal administration duties, at least not the US Chapters. International Chapters are probably a different issue depending again on the number of Chapters.
Surely there must be some "economies of scale" involved in centralizing administration.

Oregon must operate a bit differently that what I am use to in Utah. If any of the paper work I have to complete for the groups I work for is late, I start getting nasty notes in the mail box. I do not like those note and try and keep up on the filings I have to make.
Thanks
Ken

When will the Chapters involved in this change be able to give input, voice concerns, and suggest positive ways forward?  Chapter leaders were sent a letter of change with no contact information or answers to provide feedback or work through the changes.  Since it has been put on hold by ACMOC, we have stopped our pursuit on becoming a Contract Chapter as we need answers and documents provided from the board that do not yet exist.  As of today still no Chapter level communication has begun.  It would be a benefit to work with Chapters in finding a solution that works then having the whole of the Club direct each and every Chapter.  I hope someone will respond to past emails or will reach out to not only my Chapter but other Chapters involved to discuss the topic from a Chapter level soon!

Hi Ryan,

I believe the BoD will be in touch with you in due course, unfortunately at the moment they are dealing with the issue of the renegade idiots, that want to destroy the Club. When these idiots have been dispatched, no doubt the BoD will get back to managing the business of Club in the best interests of all the members.

Regards, Wombat

Ryan,
Thank you putting this out. Frankly, we would have liked to have already had some discussions with Chapter leaders as a whole (Online meetings, etc.), however, as you might imagine, dealing with the "Concerned" group has taken nearly all the board's attention and has sidelined a number of initiatives that we as a board would much rather be working on. I have called most chapter presidents personally as I have had the time to do so. You are welcome to reach out to me at any time. If you have sent emails, let me know who to and we can resolve that as well.

I and the board agree that working together for a solution is the best route, what we know are these things: Contract is not for everyone, status quo cannot be, and there are alternatives that will fit certain chapters better than either of those.

Join us this evening for the town hall call, it is designed for members to let us know their thoughts and ask questions.

I would assume the same, from posts on forum and email sent on update to leaders it seems something was in the works.  We will continue to wait to be contacted.
