Yes! I was blown away by how the little old girl can sit down and pull! and I can totally agree, I'm 5'10" and find the cockpit area cramped, especially when maneuvering my feet around to manipulate the brake pedals! As far as chainsaws go that, unfortunately, my friend, is only a start....My father is an ex Stihl mechanic and dealer and buying, selling, modifying, and repairing saws fills much of my spare time, and I have a sizable collection of large and high performance saws...It is surprising what those little D2 crawlers will pull, and the main engine has a lovely smooth sound to it too which I like, my D2 5U will happily pull 2 sets of discs in 4th gear all day long, burning around 6.5 litres of diesel a hour, that's about 1.5 US gallons, the only negative is the cockpit area is cramped for my 5'11" frame, even though I have the seat back as far as it will go.
Thanks for the pics, you weren't going to run out of chainsaws I can see!! LOL

Thanks Eddie, does it work on side tank models like mine?Hi Team,
you can modify the seat tank mounts as is done to fit the Hyster winches--we did this at The Dealer is to use a pair of 2" channel runners under the tank sides to the fenders--if more leg room is needed simply make the channels longer and drill holes in said channels to suit your requirements.
Allied Parts lists show the channels as they supply then to standard fitting length--add length to suit your needs. You can sift thru the images/pages and find said images--"Where's Wally" type deal.

Going off Cat D2 topics now, I need your Dad to visit me and sort out my Stihl MS390 saw, I bought it new in 2003 and it has always been a stinker to start when cold, particularly as it has no decompressor, it's wrecked my right shoulder, 20-50 pulls on the cord normally before it pops for the first time.
My mate owns the local Stihl Shop and he said after my model the 390 came with a decompressor but they can't be retrofitted, that saw has been in his workshop a dozen times over the years replacing fuel lines and other bits, and never got any easier to start even though I whined about it all the time, other guys have mentioned their Stihl saws are mongrels to start too, one guy said he has to squirt raw fuel onto the aircleaner first, that worse than a old tired Cat pilot motor I reckon.....

"I also joined a year ago. had been on here a couple of times as a non-member and found the info very helpful so I got a one year subscription (not very expensive at all) to try it out. I really like all the resources on here so I just got a three year. I think its a very small price for what you can get out of this site."
