I have both oil and temp. The temperature would have to be repaired and both faces would have to be cleaned.

Oh cool! I actually found an oil pressure gauge today that I'd forgotten about, but I'd definitely be interested in the temp gauge! Thanks a bunch for looking! I'll send you a pm.
Bruce.

Fussed with 17 most of the weekend. Swapped out a valve cover and adjusted the valves. I had found the fuel pressure relief valve and spring were rusted away when I first got it going after it had sat for so long. I decided to remove the transfer pump and check it out. I found some really ugly pump gears. While I was there I also decided to take the injection pump off and change the fuel gallery O ring seals.

Hi Bruce,
While you are this far I would change the seal on the injection pump as well in the last photo.
Regards
Daryl

Interesting that one of the pumps has a bleeder and the others don't

Hi Daryl. Thanks and yes I did change that seal. I will say that the new one from cat wasn't nearly as robust as the old one.

I thought so too, I suppose they left one to bleed the fuel rail.

Heh, I kept an old Chicago Rawhide seal that I replaced in the 5U as a souvenir, since it was an example of very robust construction

I found this tube in the filter tower rusted out, so I replaced it with a piece of copper tube. Found a pretty good oil pressure gauge, and d2gary sent me a nice temp gauge.
