All the cool stuff is on the west coast.
Very cool project. Would be neat to see it at WMSTR one year.

Hi OldRedTim.
Wee doo two at Santa Margarita - bin that way since the very first one back in 2010. AND, it looks like we will hava Siamesed D8, a DD9G, a STRETCHED LGP D8 ex-Antarctica, a Cat 660 scraper, a couple of DW20s and a couple of DW21s and a few other goodies going round and round moving dirt, making noise and burning diesel fuel. 14A D8s are pretty much gonna be like navels - everyone's got one - and there could well be a slew of D9Ds and D9Es there too, not to mention all the other 'matchbox models'. LOL.

BUTTTTTT,Ours is on Memorial day Weekend, so we ALSO have tanks and other military hardware, some warbirds, a commemorative service at Midday each of the 3 days with a fly past. And then there's steam train rides, agger-ree-cultural stuff, including a harvesting display this year, and some other goodies too.

Wanna come-n-play?

Just my 0.02.

You have a wonderful day. Best wishes. Deas Plant.

Living in San Leandro has its advantages. I spotted this one driving by one day and did a triple take. Had to get a few photos up close. Makes me wish I still had mine. There's nothing like pony motors!

I don't know if this is a dumb question or not. But in the third picture, is that a wire for a gauge routed around the cooling manifold bolts like that? If so, was that original or what is the purpose behind that?

I also had the same question about what looks like a tach drive (apologies if this has been covered previously)

I do believe that is the temperature gauge sender tube. That many holding clips makes it look extra classy IMHO.
