Glen, Ed, Dwayne, Phil and the rest of the Team:

This is just an outstanding project to build this machine!!!!!!!!!! As others have said, a big hats off to all. Has Ed been able to come down to see it yet? I hope he has.

Good of you to think of the comfort of those who get to sit in the "couch seat" for the e-ticket rides. No levers to get in the way.

Now I think you should also include a cocktail table in front of the "couch" to hold all the "silver bullets"!

That is just amazing. There are so many details to take in, it really doesn't seem real. I can't wait to see it in person.

Great work to the whole team.

Pete.

Hey Neil,

We thought about putting a second CCU on it, but Rumor has it that there is such a long list of "E" Tickets Sold for rides room is needed. We thought that the control levers would get in the way of Paying Customers seating. The seat under the controls would only get "C" ticket pricing.... :pound:

Heh heh sounds good Glen. Of course, a couple of couches in the scraper would fix that problem : ) Then there'd be enough room for Roger's liquor table!
Did Peterson ever test the drawbar pull on the original units?

Cheers,
Neil

Hey Team,

Loaded up the Siamese Twin D8 today. Steve and Phil worked on the left motor this morning... Phil wasn't happy with the way it sounded and ran the rack... It sounds way better. Then they took the blade off again for transporting it. After we pulled out on the main road and merged on to the freeway on ramp we had trouble right away... They was two on ramp lanes (staging lanes) with metering lights. There was a 3rd lane that was a diamond comuter lane. I was running pilot car and blocked the diamond lane. Ed Ponte was driving the transport and in the middle lane. Steve was in his Peterbilt service truck in the right lane. Well what do you know... A Prius female driver raced up on my ass and started blowing her horn. Then she held her single finger up to me. When I didn't move, she felt that gave her the right to drive around me on the left shoulder of the road. Ed got the green light and started pulling ahead. Immediately past the metering light all three lane merge to one. It wasn't safe to let anyone pass, but she was special, so she raced to the left on the gravel and grass to go around. Nope, not on my watch... So I blocked her maneuver with the pilot truck. Of course that brought both hands up with single fingers. As Ponte started gaining speed, I pulled behind him with my light flashing, beacon strobing, and red flags flying. No way was she gonna let that happen. She was entitled to her space and that didn't include me, so she stopped, and then raced right and sped around my right side. Steve looked at me with a big question mark look on his face. Well she raced forward and got within two feet of the 7 axle's rear lights. Steve didn't move over and kept his merge, as did I. I was shocked that she just kept gunning it until my mirror was an 1/2" from hers, and steve was inches from her too. I decided, if she was that crazy, I wanted her to try and explain her actions to the Highway patrol. I kept my merge going knowing an accident was coming, but I wasn't gonna get forced off the ramp into the grass in field. Well, she slammed on her brakes and gave us her I.Q. Thingy again. OMG... Prius verses a 14' wide 95' long 120,000 load... What's in their mind some times???

Hi, Glen.
Sounds like that lady was a V.I.P. - - - - - at least in her own estimation. Important enough even to figure that she had a right to try to commit suicide.

Tom is right. The REALLY frightening thing is the she can both vote and reproduce.

Just my 0.02.

You have a wonderful day. Best wishes. Deas Plant.

WELL, we MUST remember that she MUST be one of those environmental types (the Prius) that is causing so much problem in the world. I can almost hear her thinking, "I am really watching out for the Earth that so many humans are destroying" (the Prius).

Also, Glen what happened after that incident? Did she continue on her way saving the Earth?

As for me, give me a BIG vehicle (a full size like in the 70's) with a BIG 426 CID Hemi engine in it.

Reminds me of many years ago when my wife and I were in San Francisco in her fathers Dodge Pickup that had a 440 CID V8. At one traffic light we were in the right lane of three. The lane we were in ended just after the intersection. I was first in that lane so I decided to NOT let the other two lanes beat me. Her nephew and friened were with us too. I told them to hang on when the light changed.

When it changed I romped on it and left all the other cars all far behind.

Also whenever we were traveling with the fifth wheel trailer and climbing a hill I always enjoyed passing everyone. YEEHAA!;););)
