Kelly's Heroes is also one movie at the top of my list, in fact the original movie poster hangs in my office, so I know that the word is "WAVES" and not "WAYS" as in Oddball addressing Moriarty:

"Why don't you knock it off with them negative waves? Why don't you dig how beautiful it is out here? Why don't you say something righteous and hopeful for a change?"

"Crazy! I mean like so many positive waves maybe we can't lose! You're on!"

Matt V. exhibited lots of positive waves from start to finish on this recovery so like Kelly, Oddball, Big Joe and Crapgame, he took home the gold.

Hmmm, Bell Huey, can't count the number of variants produced over the years on my fingers and toes but the most capable of which was only rated to lift maybe 4500 pounds. I'm certainly no Best expert but I've spent my life around equipment and that thing looks like it weighs a lot more than that. I've been fooled on weights many times but its usually on the heavier side of my estimate when I got something loaded up to haul then observed bottomed out suspension and half flat tires, therefore I've been responsible for countless instances of truck/trailer abuse.

And what's with all the cloak and dagger drama here? Now you see it, now you don't? Why is there no picture of the Best hanging off the Huey? A regular Alfred Hitchcock running this show, I guess? Come on now, I know what's going on here. All the hype and build-up is just to get all of us to sign up so we can see the details in the magazine story. And it might work. I might just have to sign up. I am a new Cat owner and feel very blessed with all the "free" information I've received from members so far, a truly great bunch of guys here that just want to help everyone else succeed. Hats off to all of you.

But does anyone else smell a rat on that little ole Huey lifting that big hunk of cast and steel? We're talking a bit more than four stretchers and a medic here.

Yes, but "Huey" ever said that the best was lifted in one piece?

The Bell Huey might of been air transport for the Guys/Girls to MARK a big white X, and rig up the BEST prior to a Big One passing by. I have good memories of playing Hook a Duck with loads up to 20,000 Ilb under a Chinook CH-47B. Fly in low under radar on a training exercise and help a buddy out, works for me.
