5 years short of 100 years old - that's a real sight to see. Can't wait for the next dvd including the first start, and then the first plowing

Well Jim Chapman has been working tirelessly tweaking and tuning, and I was able come in and give him a hand the last couple of days. Between Jim, Matt, and I we should have her loaded up and headed east with a couple of her new friends on the trailer with her! Can't wait to pull into the show next week and share our excitement!! See you all next week!

Bringing this one back to the top. This story was featured on the Cat @ work site today (homepage for all Caterpillar employees) and is very cool to see.
Off topic but there is a thread on smokstak about a 40 HP engine that was stuck up in the mountains similar to this story. That engine was broken down into pieces and also flown out with a helicopter. The helicopter was $1600 an hour and it took them 5 hours total. You pay for the helicopter to minute it takes off from its hangar to the minute it sets back down.

Wow, that's really neat that Cat put it on their site! That must have been a smaller helicopter than the one we used. We got lucky and only had to break it down into two picks. Our pilot was very good and completely confident that if we got it under 4000 lbs. he could pick it up. What a fun two days that was! So where was this 40 engine they rescued? I'd be interested to see that story...
