Hello I'm new to this group. I farm in Ventura county in Southern California. I've seen a few posts about CB Hay threshers. I've included a few Pictures of my CB Hay bean threshers. We pull them with 2 D5BSA and 1 D4ESA. I've really enjoyed all the beautiful pictures of the farming in the other areas.
Thanks

Glad to have another "farmer type" member here. Welcome to the club LimaGrower! Maybe you should purchase the Price bean harvester at the auction, it would be closer to haul home than here in NorCal. Nice pictures. Please continue to share. As far as D4Es go, I wish I owned one, but there is a hoarder named John from SoCal that keeps hoarding them! Just teasing D4e; I do know where there are some, but they don't have the fancy air conditioned office option that you lust after.....

Was great to see crawlers and bean harvesters together. We also used a crawler to pull our CB Hay bean harvester.Usually used a TD9 but this field had steeper hills and sandier ground so we put the HD11 on.

Video from 1985 harvesting blackeyes east of Denair,Ca

Hey Lima Grower, do know the number of your D4E? Dads D4E ended up in California somewhere it was 70X 118.

Great pictures Lima Grower. Hope to see many more. Where exactly were these taken? Near Bakersfield? It is always good to see another farmer who still uses crawlers on this board.

Thanks for posting I didn't think there were many Lima bean growers left in Ventura county... Even though that's where the industry began.

Most of the Lima bean growers in the northern San Joaquin Valley came from either Oxnard, Ventura or Van Nuys. Most of the machines have a history from there as well which is interesting as well.

Are the beans in Ventura county still being grown dryland?
