Hi, Tom Madden.
Looks like folks are keeping you hopping. Ever wish you had taken on stamp collecting instead?

I am trying to arrange to be at the show for the whole 3 days and would like to put some faces to some of the names I have seen and corresponded with on this and other forums. Don't know for sure yet if I can be there but I'm working on it.

Thanks for all the updates and information. I have posted notices on Antique Caterpillar Machinery Enthusiasts:

Well we just got back from Tulare from the Calif. Antique Farm Equipment Show. The Best Show on Tracks displayed the following 5 tractors: 1910-12 Best 75 Round Wheel Tractor, one of a kind owned by the Pioneers Museum in Imperial, Best 75, David Marcial, Herold, CA., Best 60 and Best 30, Doug and Matt VerKamp, Placerville, CA., and Holt 75, Doug Peltzer, Porterville, CA. Lots of ACMOC folks at the show including a huge turnout from the Chapter 5 gang who brought 5 truck loads of stuff. Thanks to everyone for their help and support. Next stop, Woodland, CA in 2 months.

Pictures later.

I have been following this topic since the beginning, but I cannot remember if anything has been said about name tags. My wife and I will be attending as visitors, but we would like to purchase some sort of permanent name tags. I could not find anything on the ACMOC store portion of this site. I know some chapters have offered them, but we do not belong to a local chapter. We are looking forward to the show(one of us is more excited than the other).
Thanks, Chuck Bos

You used to be able to get engraved ACMOC name plates with a pin back from the club but I don't see them in the news letter.

Chuck and Steve, I have someone out here attempting to have someone at the show who can do some type of nametags for the BSOT. I cannot promise anyting as I have lots on my plate right now. Any ideas? George W., I know that you were going to look into this and we communicated, any options that you are aware of to revive the production of the old name tags?

Willie just called and he is arriving at the Wallace Ranch even as we speak with the Paso Robles, Pioneer Day Peoria War Holt 75 and my 1917 Holt experimental. Hammer trucking is following with the Paso Holt 45 and Cat 60. Yesterday the Bouris family Minneapolis Threshing Machine Company 35-70, Holt 45, Cat 60, Cat 30 and Allis M arrived following their participation at Tulare. The array of priceless old iron being brought together for the Best Show On Tracks is truly staggering.

A reminder, this is a general tractor show and all makes and models of wheel and tracked tractors are welcome and encouraged. We picked up a couple of Rumely's and a Huber and lots of other iron at Tulare. Tell your green, red, grey, orange, blue and other color tractor collectors to bring all of their stuff.

If we don't lose any tractors, we should have close to 20 of the big tracked tiller wheel Best and Holt tractors at the show. There are now 7 of them at the Wallace ranch with more coming soon and many more coming the week of the show.

We are trying to assemble 60 Best and Cat 60's. We have over 2/3 ds accounted for if all come through and we are pursuing more daily. If you know anyone that is in central or northern CA, southern Oregon or western Nevada that has a 60, encourage them to bring it to the Best Show on Tracks so we can reach our goal. Just envision the picture opportunities with that many 60's!!

If you are having trouble with Hotel rooms, email me and we will do what we can to find you a room. I think Woodland is sold out so look in Dunnigan just north of Woodland, Yuba City north and east and Sacramento South of Woodland.

More later. :D

Tom,

Tricia is working on making name tags available through the club again. No promises yet, but we should know in a couple of days.

Thanks Lee. People from all over the world have asked how they will know who everyone is and the tags would be a HUGE help.
