That’s a neat canopy on your B. Here’s a question, honestly, what’s the difference between a 98J and a 44A? Aren’t they both based on a 9U?
Thanks

What a clean and sweet running D6. That deep kitty purr is music of the finest. Your daughter did a great job on the video. It's steady and clear. She can be proud of a job well done. One thing I have not seen before is the extra steel wheel on the left side of the plow. Is that a depth control? Thanks for posting.

I'll second Rogers's comments on the video, I thoroughly enjoyed watching that nice black soil rolling off the moldboards. Also curious about that side wheel, never had a plow that had one in that spot. Unfortunately I didn't get any plowing in this fall due to my busy schedule, might try to get into the field next spring if it's not too wet though. Sure is fun to get out and turn some sod over, thanks again for the video.

Your very welcome for the video. I’ve finally figured out how to splice videos together so that makes for better watching
That is a gauge wheel on the side of the plow. I’ve only ever seen them on five bottoms. I suppose they needed that because the little back wheel couldn’t keep it at the proper depth with a larger plow.
I was happy with Annie’s videos, it wasn’t the warmest but she was a trooper.

Your dog seemed to be happy going after the mice and other small critters. It always seemed that the "Dump Ducks" knew when we would be plowing. They would show up for the grubs etc. that were turned up.

Bruce,
Great Video! Your photographer needs to trade you places, you can put some curtains on the 6 and she will be warm as toast providing the wind is not screaming!
Thanks

Curtains do work great, I plowed a lot of snow on a 9U with curtains. Tieing sack strings around you pants legs at the ankles helps a lot too, keeps the cold from going up your pants legs.

Bruce, that wheel on the left side is to keep the plow from sucking in too deep going over a sharp hilltop or ridge. Most of them were local made as JD doesn't know anything about farmland that goes up and down. Keeps it from turning up clay on the ridges. Buy the way, those cabs make the best place to grow tomato's. Just close up the holes and face it south. Place it on the way to the shop, open a downwind door a little in the morning and close it at night. Throw in a bucket of water when it needs it and grow tomato's as big as frying pans.

And also a driver! After lots of fussing with crapped up fuel systems and cranky old starters, I got 17 to make noise and blow smoke. It’s got a intermittent miss on number 1 but over all I think it’s gonna be OK.
My god you should have seen the bees nests boil out if the stack when it took off. And thanks to my friend Chad, you can see them once I get a video put together. Here are a few pictures to whet yer whistle.
Enjoy

Here's a video for you all.
Before you get all uptight about my use of either on this one, just know there are no glow-plugs. Previous owner told me that was the way they always started it since the conversion. I don't like it anymore than you do. I'll likely install a flamethrower type starting aid in the intake manifold.
Also the clunk, clunk, clunk you hear while I'm cranking is the starter, not the engine knocking. Obviously the starter needs attention.
Enjoy, and thanks for watching.
