Garlic Mom sent me over Saturday with another load for the show. She had house and yard work to do, so I was unsupervised. She was a little bored waiting for me to finish tying down and get out of there.

Sunday, she wanted me to take some of Daron's stuff, a really nice 6U D4 with John Deere disk and his Model A tractor. We threw on her 1928 Chevrolet doodlebug, for good measure.

I met 7upuller and Steve there and we kibitzed a bit about 7upuller's list of things to do, things to bring and had a nice visit. It was a beautiful, warm, sunny day.

Replied by Garlic Pete on topic Garlic Mom gets Mad.
I had a little trouble Sunday, too. Garlic Mom left me unsupervised for two runs on two days. I couldn't stay out of trouble.

Tom wanted the 769 out next to the freeway to advertise the show. It looked nice a dry, good day for a Sunday drive in your 69,000 pound dump truck, right? Everything was great, I was tooling across the pasture when all of a sudden, I was looking at the ground.

At first I thought the front wheel had fallen off. I was relieved after crawling down to find that I had discovered a soft spot, the right front wheel was half buried and the truck was sitting on its skid plate. I walked back, loaded up and headed home.

Garlic Mom was mad. She said she still hasn't even gotten to drive that 769 and I've already got it out in the middle of a field, buried to its belly. I guess I'm on restriction now and won't be left unsupervised for a while.

You won't have any trouble finding the show, just keep your eyes to the east on the freeway. When you see the 769 sitting in the middle of the field with its nose buried, you'll know you're in the right spot.

You know some dude's going to drive past and yell out to his buddy "Hey Biff, I wonder if the owner wants to part with that truck that's obviously been sitting there a while. You can even see the green grass growing up around it".

Cheers,
Neil

For those of you planning on coming to the Best of the West Show in May that need anything other than general admission tickets (which you can purchase at the gate and we will not sell out) please go to bestofthewestshow.com/participate/ and print out your forms and follow the instructions. This will greatly reduce wait times if all if done ahead of time. You can also buy banquet tickets from acmoc directly by contacting the office at three zero 9 691-five zero zero 2.

Thank you. We are now under 8 weeks to show time and lots still to do and lots getting done. This is going to be a really fun show with lots of unique stuff that you can only see on the west coast where so much of it was invented and manufactured.

Hey Garlic...

You want me to call Air Search and Rescue for you? Looks like you might need MaryAnn to come help. Hmmm, I remember Steve mentioning something about...:tape2:...

Hi, Garlic Pete.
Does this mean that I am gonna hafta drive another rig out of a bog just before the show? I think GM would be right to not let you out un-SOUP-ervized. LOL.
Hi, Tom.
Has the ranch done anything to sort out the problems with their D9H or is it still just a paperweight?

I think this is gonna be quite a show.

Just my 0.02.

You have a wonderful day. Best wishes. Deas Plant.

Hey Garlic Pete,

Did you buy a submarine, a plane, or a haul truck? I just got a drive by at 75mph... Steve was giggling as he drove down the highway. When I looked at Tonka, it was yelling out, "Dive...Dive," as it continued to sink, but the way it leaning, I thought it was a Plane circling back to the runway... :rip:

Hey Glen,

Looking at that truck brings back memories - "We all live in a Yellow Submarine, A Yellow Submarine, A Yellow Submarine........."

I don't think we can wait for Deas. That has to be gotten closer to the highway. If you guys hang a sign on it now, no one will be able to read it! They would think we are advertising for a mud-wrestling tournament!
