I don't think Pete was trying hard enough,it is only down on one corner. Your never stuck until it is all down on the frame, right????????????

Always better to stop when you can find a pull point without digging. So I will lobby that Mom goes easy on you this time as it could have been worries.

If Garlic Mom had been there we would have video of Pete's "heroic" driving attempts. And maybe we could see Glen's D6 stuck also trying to extract it.

Garlic Mom pulled out all the stops (and three willow switches, which she used on me). She offered 7upuller a case of garlic if he'd come pull my bacon out of the fire.

I think she was worried about the forecast of two inches of rain for Thursday night or Friday and still mad about not having been able to even drive the truck yet. Word is 7upuller is going to bring down Marianne (another of Garlic Mom's favorites). Marianne can lightly traipse out there in her high heels, not even wrinkling a dandelion, wriggle up to the back of the truck and use her super power winch to extract our poor 769.

Supposedly this is going to go down sometime on Thursday. I have to work (grounded by Garlic Mom).

Hopefully someone will film and photograph. Watch this space for updates.

Ray54 - Thanks for the help. I emailed your comment to Garlic Mom . . . Four times, just in case she missed it. I also taped it to the mirror in the house. No relief so far.

Well . . .

old iron habit. I was trying not to bring that up. If you look rrrreeeeaaaaaalllll close in my picture of the truck, right under the right rear tires, I think you can still see just a small corner of the fuel tank sticking up.

All I can say is:

D6Bs don't have as high a floatation as you'd think.

and

769's don't really notice when you try to chock them with a D6B.

I wasn't going to say anything about that to 7upuller. Maybe he won't notice. I drug an old D2 carcass over and put it where the D6B was parked. I figure as long as the radiator count down the line is right, he probably won't pay that much attention.

Hi, Glen.
Sink THAT - - - and you'll REALLY be in trubble. Mind you, Mary Ann did prove beyond any doubt that she works well on solid surfaces, likes wharves, as well as on snow.

No more 'Tonka'. Now 'Yellow Submarine'. No more G.P.. Now 'Boggatruck' - - - score to date - lowboy once - after disobeying G.M. - and now 769 TWICE.

Should we turn GP loose with the 769 to check out the sand pit areas before we start digging - - - just in case there are wet areas? LOL.

Oh! Hello, G.P.. I didn't see you over there. LOL. :D (G.P's response: :censored:)

Just my 0.02.

You have a wonderful day. Best wishes. Deas Plant.

Operation SNATCH BLOCK is in process. Marianne is rolling south as we speak. If you feel the ground shake on the west coast, you'll know why.

Good thing Marianne is used to walking on water. There is a thin, but solid cloud deck over here in the central valley this morning. I think Marianne is going to get there just in the nick of time to save my bacon.

Keep your eyes peeled.

Pete.

That is such a precious load! Just like a beautiful girl as "Queen of the Show" sitting on the back of a Cadillac in a hometown parade! "Hail to Mary Ann". Is there a tickertape parade planned as she goes south? Should be one.

Success!

The truck is unstuck, Marianne was the savior. Per Garlic Mom, the girls have to stick together and fix all the guy's screw ups.

I don't have any pictures or video, I just got a phone call to report the success. The guys got it all documented and it'll be posted here soon.
