Cleaned up nice, should do the job well. I have a home made one also, and after doing some research I found the number of a Snap-On made socket just for the bleeders, with 1/4" drive, works well also because of not much room behind the pump.

]Looks like I have a new apprentice. My grandson came for a visit and we got the d2 started and took it for a little spin. Well naturally we had to wash it because it got dirty.

thats how i cuaght oldmachineryitis, i was always with dad. when i was little we had a old chev 6 truck in the backyard that i played on. 30yrs later i still have the bug.

Hey there Gary. Sounds like you are fixing to get that D2 ready for another round of work. I am a 4U 1952 D2 owner and I love it on this Mississippi farm. I supplement it with a 50 hp Kubota track hoe so i can dig up and smooth out about any thing I need. So far all I’m having to do is routine maintenance aside from the pinion grind when I engage it.
