First time I got on Oilslick's tractor at Santa Margarita (and this is after he showed me how to run it), the blade wouldn't go up. I looked back at Mike with a "?" look, and he did the clutch motion - ah yes, forgot that! (and continued to forget it a few more times before it entered muscle memory - good times with a rear-mounted attachment : ) I remember as a kid getting on my first tractor that had live pto/hydraulics thinking I was really riding in style after running our Ferguson TEA
Cheers,
Neil

That is really coming together! Very nice Scott. That is a clever trick for the breather! Will have to keep that in mind. I'm hoping the border opens sometime soon. I will bring the youngins down and we will check out your handiwork firsthand. My wife will probably just hang back 🤔😂

Well my plan to not mess with the pump assembly didn't last long. I could see the seal for the shaft was looking a little chewed up so I took the fuel tower off. There was a bunch of crude in the filter chamber and some in the fuel galley. So off comes the governor to clean the fuel passage.
Looks like the last guy didn't line up the dowel hole.

Was able to get a new fuel line bent to fit in the original place. The fuel line and the hydraulic piping have been pretty challenging
Ive been following this thread for a long time. I got a 1952 D2 w/ toolbar straight blade last year and have been slowly repairing some problems with the main clutch, starter pinion system and rebuilding the pony motor.
Very nice diesel fuel line! What are the specs on that line? Is that copper? how did you attach those fittings exactly? Did you reuse the fittings from the old line? thanks!

Its 1/2 inch od copper. I did reuse the fittings, just sweat them off and resolder them on. I borrowed a tubing bender from my neighbor to bend the tube.
