Berco should make them yet. Yes use new bolts. 5/8" i think get torqued to 220 ft lbs plus a third turn.

Any of you guys upgrade to a spin on fuel water separator base and filter with drain and eliminate the old square glass unit? I actually have one in my parts collected for a truck project I can use on this.

I have a new strainer for the LP fuel pump and the spin on filter on the way.

Thanks.

Does this style pump have the strainer in the forward end? I havent pulled the side panel yet to get better access. Do some of the 3306 engines have a fuel transfer pump on left side of engine and some dont? Im not seeing one on this, but again havent pulled the side panels. Is the small yellow hardline going back from the front of the pump a return line? Thanks I have a strainer, gasket and the spin on pump filter on hand for next days off.

The transfer pump is built into the front end/drive of the fuel injection pump. Some have a return line, some don't. That one looks like it does.

Hey guys. Are aftermarket sprocket bolts good enough? I ordered sprocket segments and bolts and nuts and tensioner seal kits from a Track shop in NW houston. My right side tensioner seals crapped out so that should be interesting. I did actually check with Cat on the sprockets and they told me discontinued.

Ref the fuel issue, I replaced the square glass separator and the spin on filter and it starts right up now so thats nice.

Heres $555 including tax for both sides segments, bolts nuts and adjuster seal kits. Segment box said Trek, South Korea.

I have a question:  The recoil spring and its center retainer bolt can be removed and installed as an assembly right? Put in a special press at the track shop or dealer without having to take the whole dozer down there right?

I noticed later looking at this pic that it looks like the spring is broken close to the far right side.  Will be a couple days before I can open it back up.
