Hi, O-I-H.
Getting it shipshape???????????? The thing that would worry me if I were the worrying type is the dust issue that having a bunch of 'amateurs' racing all over that field trying to patch up ruts that ought not to have been created in the first place.

Yes, I know the gear hazta git in there but - preferably with as little mess as possible. We are only there full on for about 10 days to 2 weeks each year. Other people live and work there all year round and livestock graze those fields, 24/7/365.

Just my 0.02.

You have a wonderful day. Best wishes. Deas Plant.

Deas,

Quit scolding GP about making ruts moving in all the TOYS. Have a gander at his pictures again and note what the cows have done tramping around there in the field. By the time you get there, the grass will have covered their tracks all up. Now the boys with the Harris may take a bit of a bumpy ride but I doubt you'll be on that crew.

Just a note, they posted the exhibitor registration form on the bestofthewestshow.com web site. If you plan to be an exhibitor, fill out the form and send it in. Exhibitors get 2 buttons that allow free entry into the show.

Looking forward to the show very much!

I just received a very welcome call from Mr. Ted Halton who formerly owned the Halton Caterpillar dealerships in Oregon. I had called Ted last week and asked if he and or the ACMM in Brooks would like to bring Old Tusko the Caterpillar Diesel 60 that set all of the early endurance records for diesel fuel economy shortly after the tractor was established in Oregon. Mr. Halton discussed this with his ACMM Board and they have agreed to bring Old Tusko to Santa Margarita. As a side note, Old Tusko was named after a much loved elephant at the Portland Zoo.

This National Show is shaping up to be a really great show as lots of really terrific equipment is scheduled to be here for all to enjoy. I hope lots of you can make the trek to the California Central Coast for this great show.

Stay tuned for further developments.

Hi, Tom.
GREAT stuff. That tractor is a piece of history all by itself. It is one of the featured machines in Eric C. Orlemann's book, "Caterpillar Chronicle".

Just my 0.02.

You have a wonderful day. Best wishes. Deas Plant.

The more you bring, the less I have to! It wouldn't be a show without "some" of your toys. Heck, bring all of them....
I had a similar thought, didn't know if any of my junk was worthy enough to bring. No trailer queens here; my stuff is mainly AG, if needed, maybe I can ship some implements down and folks can turn some dirt.
How about some ideas or special requests?
