Hi, Old Magnet.
It took about a dozen transfer truck loads of overburden fill to make the entrance road and the pad for the crane, carefully spread and track rolled with the ranch's D9H. There was no way the crane could have got in there, let alone done the lift, without that. As it was, the alarms were going off as he took the full weight at the radius that he was at when he first lifted it. But he got it up and luffed in and the rest was easy.

Then it was time for the welding crew to get busy putting rails on it.

As for my contribution, I was just having fun - like always.

Just my 0.02.

You have a wonderful day. Best wishes. Deas Plant.

Well done Kevin, greatly appreciate the perspective from above. I am sure others are as grateful as I am to all who made this show possible and recorded it for those unable to attend.

Hi, Glen.
Sorry, Mate, but I have escaped back to where I can drive on the 'proper' side of the road on the 'proper' side of the car. Thank you for the offer though. May I take a rain check on it, please?

Hi, Glen.
And my thanks backatchyer, Mate. Without your contribution, the show would not have been anywhere near what it was. Thank you.

Absolutely an awesome video. Of course more is better, so I like the extended cut.

I just love the shot where the Link Belt swings the boom and flag on its tip right past the camera.

I also really enjoyed the sped up shots, they really let you see things about the flow which you don't at normal speed. The ability to watch the 660 bowl fill and the tractors work together is also really neat. Nice to see the overview of the grounds and activity, too.

You really have a gift for capturing and then assembling these images to tell a story. Choose great music, too!

Thanks for sharing with us.

Great pictures. It was really a nice surprise to meet you and Gilbert. Your pictures always really capture the moments, dust, smoke and hair flying!

Thanks for posting,

Pete.
