Thanks John for the picture. Chad Enyeart with Antique Crawler Parts and Restoration in Laramie, WY. did a masterful job on the mechanical restoration of that 1924 factory Best Logging Cruiser. That is the one that Floyd McClintock had at the 75th show outside of Peoria in 2000, then went to Dan Vought, then I steered it to Chad and now it is in my collection. She runs like a top. Speaking of top, I still need to get the buggy top made for this one.

A few of my shots, hope everyone enjoys.
The perspective is inspiring, looking at the D9 vs Seventy-Five & scraper!

Thanks for posting, ctsnowfighter.

I agree about the perspective on the D9 pushing the Diesel Seventy Five and Wooldridge. It looks like if he wasn't careful, that whole setup could slip under the blade and disappear without him even noticing.

I noticed the same thing with Doug's 17A D7 and the 660 in the background. The D7 looks really big in your first picture, then looks pretty small with the big 660 wall behind it.

Neat pictures and a good time.

Pete.

I was in shock and awe to find this on a trailer in Santa Margarita!

My Grandfather bought a Bean Track Pull in 1917, used it for cultivating orchards in Glenn County, Ca.

The levee on the Sacramento River breached in 1940, drowning my Grandpa's hogs. My father was using the Bean to dig trenches with a plow to bury the hogs, an inspection cover came loose and filled the bull gear housing with mud, breaking the housing. Dad and Grandpa junked the "Bean" in 1949 just before I was born.
Dad has never forgiven himself for junking that tractor and at 93 years old, still kicks himself!

All that remains today of "our" tractor: one half a rail link, the Bosch DU4 Magneto, a piece of the broken housing. There was a radiator cap and the clutch link but I have not seen them in some time now. Prior to selling the "orchard", the wheels were still on the farm.

Powered with a 4 cylinder LeRoi engine, one speed forward and one in reverse. Top wheel is the steering, bottom operates the clutch.

I took well over a Thousand photos at the show. Way too many to take up space here and I certainly have a difficult time picking which ones are of interest.

I will endeavor to sort and pick some that have not been shown in others posts.

"Keep 'em Crawlin" -- one day you may find yourselves with no space and just memories to keep our "skinning" memories alive. A post here about "cat tracks" farming - hard to find today where I grew up - now is almost all rubber tires and rubber tracks, cabs, stereo, A/C, GPS, etc. - yes - lots of Green and Yellow Paint!

What a neat photo, ctsnowfighter! The black and white makes it look 100 years old (which, of course, the truck is!)

I'll have to print that out for Garlic Mom. She'll love it. I guess she's backhauling hay after delivering all her garlic.

I just loved that Bean Track Pull, too. It is neat that you have a personal connection to one. I feel like your Dad, too bad that they scrapped it, but at that time it would have just been another old, broken, outdated tractor not worth keeping around.

That Bean belongs to Buzz Stetler from Stockton. He told me quite a bit about it, including that he started with not much and assembled that one over a number of years. He has lots of neat stuff. I didn't see it get off the trailer, but was hoping to see it driving around some at the show. It may have, but I didn't get to see it.

Thanks for posting, definitely put up whatever you see that you find interesting.

Pete.

Awwwwwww! That's a really neat picture of GM and GP! If it's okay with everyone, I'd like to print one up for the wall in the office. Thanks CTS. Awesome pictures that you took. JM
