The combustion chamber o-ring seals are a #2H3088 replaced by #5S1105

The combustion chamber seating washers come in three thickness if you need to change them. You will need to experiment with thickness to get an installation where the lines don't interfear with the glow plugs. PC torque is 150 ft-lbs.
9H5897 is 0.104" th.
1S6819 is 0.133" th.
1S6820 is 0.158" th.

The thermostat #4H1991 is replaced by #9S3808.

Sources near you are Cat, Regal or Off Road Equp. in Tn. or Costex & Heavyquip in Fl.

You will need this tool to remove and install the PC chambers.

There're quite a few birds that are inquisitive like that - in the old country, my cousin had a pet magpie, which is a type of crow I think. Anyhoo, this bird, which was not small, would cluck over like a chicken to take a look at what folks were doing, and lightly peck them occasionally, I guess to say "pay attention!". Highly amusing : )

im going to be working on the loader this weekend ill get some more pics

i put a new seat in it had to get a new pin for the bucket ,someone had a grade 8 bolt about half the size in there
i did some welding on the bucket it had some cracks and old repairs that needed attention
i only had one crack to weld up and ran slap out of wire on the welder

im going to get into the radiator and try and rod it out this week ,as im working nights ill work at it in the mornings

only question i have is ,
does the thermostat drop right in at the normal spot like on a car engine ?as i did not have one when i got it so i never seen how it goes in thx all

With the thermostat functioning as a diverter as well as a valve, you may get good results from simply installing the correct one before you go to the trouble of cleaning the radiator.

D2-5J's, D6-9U's, D318 and D333 power units, 12E-99E grader, 922B & 944A wheel loaders, D330C generator set, DW20 water tanker and a bunch of Jersey cows to take care of in my spare time:D

i may try and see how it runs .however it is an old machine i dont think it would hurt to clean it out
im guessing the guy i bought it from didnt know what the issue was
as he said it just needed a radiator hose

i think he didnt have a clue just like me and had the head reworked when
it only needed a thermostst

hey all
i got the new parts in it took a few mins on the injectors the thermostat went right in
i did have to make a gasket for it but was no problem

i had to barrow a torque wrench i had some anti seez

after it was all done and the fuel lines purged we fired up the old girl she purred like a kitten
we watched the temp guage for a while and watched the injectors for leaks
after about 15 mins she heated up the thermostat area was hot to the touch but everything else was barley warm
just a lil heat in the top of the radiator

i took it up the hill and did about 30 min worth of work .the temp would come up then the stat would open letting water threw
temp would drop back to normal

it was a good catch you guys helped out alot i really appreciate the input .now i can get back to what i bought this machine for
cutting fence line and digging a lil pond thx all ill be watching this forum in the future also
