Hi Andrew
I have passed on the ad info to a bloke in Tassie that may be interested. But not sure if it can be fitted to a 4u. I guess it can with some adapting.
He is also looking for a winch to suit a D2.
BTW Are you selling any other D2 parts?
I am looking for some track frame guards.

Hi Eric, the only difference is the hub on the crank pulley and the oil pipes near the the air cleaner, everything else is the same, regards Andrew

Hi Inter 674, if Andrew doesn't have any D2 track frame guards I'm getting some made right now and should have a spare set, this D2 4U track frame guard project has been ongoing for around 4 years now trying to get them done, in theory they should be ready to pick up from my Sheet Metal guy but I've been hearing that since January and he got the old guards in August, in his defense he is very good and as a result he is very busy, but let me see the finished product and price before I start getting excited because being curved in odd ways those D2 guards are not as easy to make as a 22, his initial quote was fair but I know a guy here in Oz who got charged by a Engineering Shop $2,000 to make a set for his D2, needless to say there were a few choice words spoken.

Thanks Mike.
Keep us informed about the guards as there are at least two potential customers in Taswegia and probably more for full or part sets, depending on price of course.
The figure if 2k is not surprising given the configuration of the guards. The recessed bolt holes seem to cause sheet metal workers the most concern cause they can't simply use machinery to bend or fold the shape. I was met within"geez mate, how the &$@ am I going to do that bit- yoz'll have to do that bit yourself".....
I got a d4 hood remade by the same bloke and despite the simple shape and the provision of the old one to copy, it cost over 400 dollars. I waited for over 2 months for that job and it ended up being the wrong width! But at least I learnt some metalworking skills from having to fix it:)

I have taken a photo of both the 4U drive hubs that I have in my books, the "J" type is different again.

Hi Andrew, thanks for those photo's, in the second photo it shows the individual part numbers for the drive coupling up in the left side corner but your photo has cut that part of the page off, could you please take another photo showing those parts with their part numbers.
Many thanks
Mike

Hi Andrew, tractor is D2 5U16586, my D2 5U Parts Number book D2 5U13237-Up only lists one crankshaft pulley 5F7753 which appears to be the same one used on all the 4U and 5U tractors according to my parts books.
Regards
Mike
