I have soaked some down with PB blaster and then run over them with another truck/tractor to see if i could break them loose.

This picture and the comment was posted in the "IH Tractors On A Montana Farm"
thread on the Coffee Shop forum at the Red Power board:

"This is a picture of when the Mehmke farm work was done with D-8 & D-9 Caterpillars. When I took this photo, they weren't all at the farmstead. They were using three D-9s and there are only two in this photo. The old girl without the cab at right is an old D-6 dozer cat. They were one of the last to "fall" from using iron rails to farm with, but everything is done with rubber tires now. It got harder to find parts for gear drive Cats, as torque converter types were common, but not gear drive cats in those sizes.

We got our spring seeding wrapped up finally, seeded around a couple wet spots but got it done. Rain expected every day for the next week which is not a good thing at this point, we should be good on moisture until late June even if it turns warm and sunny. Many farmers around here have not quite finished seeding yet so they will have a very late finish after the next batch of rain, yields generally suffer from late May/early June plantings but it all depends on if it rains around and after the 4th of July or not.

Hit the heavy straw areas with a harrow to spread them out, then everything got a pass with the wil-rich, then seeded lentils, followed with a harrow and sprayed herbicides at the same time. We also have most of the winter wheat sprayed now.

Hi NIF i see you have outrigger wheels on your sprayer, Does the undulating ground not allow you to use strait booms without wheels especially in hollows. Cheers Atlas

A little later in the morning & a little further down the hill.......same mountain
background. Got a great kill with the RT3 on this stubble back in March, so no big
hurry on the tillage:

Had a little entertainment one weekend. Pulled the D5 up to the edge of the field
late one Saturday and took up station on top of the cab......a birds eye view from
that spot........

OK....your asking yourself 'what on earth for???'.......well, they had a sports car rally right by this field, and I pressed the D5 into service as a camera platform:

Couldn't beat this vantage point with a stick:

That's my wheat in the background....looks like I am getting a little dirt back:

Just a few more minutes to get done......my co-pilot Kirby is waiting patiently on the track for my to quit goofing off & get back to work:

Have a great Memorial Day everybody........and Get Well Soon Darrol !!
