Good News
Perserverence pays dividends!
Dozer raises by itself? Hydraulic or Cable?
If cable you most probably have a sticking clutch, need to check to clean it up and adjust. Something you should do before you tackle the right brake and oil cooler.
You do not want to have dozer reach limits and pull something apart.

It's CCU double barrel rear winch, need to figure out how to get some cable for the rear winch portion since it has none. Yes that will be a priority though, had to move a tiny bit then stop let the blade back down then move some more just so it wouldn't keep trying to pull up while maxed. It wasn't doing that when I went to look at it before buying though so maybe something got stuck or knocked loose when shipped. I'll try and grease it first before pulling the case open.
carb will be rebuilt this weekend kit is out for delivery then i will figure out the oil cooler after those two issues are solved. The brake works still just very sticky doesn't want to push in easy or return but is still usable so that's the lowest priority but all of these will be fixed before any work gets started.

Cable Control Unit - CCU is not the same as a "winch" in terminology
Look on the "unit" for a tag and then find the operators/parts manuals for that attachment.
Typically, CCU was two drums for operating a cable unit scraper or using a single drum for the dozer.

I looked all over the ccu and there is no identification at all. What was interesting is that there is a serial number plate on the back left under the ccu that says 4t but the one on the engine says 3t.

Pictures help a lot - Post Pictures of the CCU
Many here with much better knowledge than I on the Model #s, etc.
Nothing says the engine could not have been changed.
CCU - may or may not be Caterpillar -

It's a 25 model CCU already ordered a manual for it. I was thinking it may be a 4t with a 3t engine swapped in after seeing that. Not really much difference between the 4t and 3t from what I have seen browsing this forum.
