For sure 1k for a carb is not in my budget. I'll figure out a way to make this one work after I get that screw replaced.

It's actually new not rebuilt there is a rebuilt one on ebay for 700 but that still high for a refurbished. Just the few choke parts I asked about were 250 through that place so they probably just mark everything way up.

those screws should be sae threads. any decent fastener shop should be able to source screw like that take the shaft with you. once you get the butterfly centred in place a drop of loctite 290 or permatex afterlock on the thread will keep them in place. you can also use a drop of starbrite liquid electrical tape.
try your cat dealer. the parts book should have the part numbers you need. try search those part numbers on parts.cat.com if they show a listing then generally the dealers can supply them.
a google search is also your friend if you can find the national stock number for the carb you can find what else it was used on and you can have more luck that way i guarantee these carbs were used on other brands of equipment.

Does this look like the top of your carb with the choke parts? 7F3838, was looking through my stash of junk, I mean good used parts, and came across this.

Do you still need the parts? I was thinking of trying to take it apart, the screws are soldered in to the choke plate, but it appears that the whole top assembly could be used instead of swapping parts, let me know and I can clean it up and see if it's useable.

Sure I'd be interested my choke lever is still an issue so swapping could help. I have the ultrasonic cleaner now so cleaning shouldn't be an issue. Send me a message with what you are looking to get out of it
