I worked on the 22 tonight, I set the timing to where the impulse trips right at tdc. And when I roll the motor back the mag on the #1 wire the timing mark is pretty close to the mag mark on the front pulley. So I'm pretty sure its timed pretty close. But when I had the spark plugs out i looked in again with a light and now there was a bunch of d con rat poison in there. So it must be falling threw the exhaust valves. So it looks like I might be taking the exhaust manifold off to clean that all out.

1, 3, 4, 2 sounds right!
D-Con?
Interesting find!
Yes a valve held open by a foreign object will cause the misfiring symptoms you are getting.

Nice 22!
One thing i see on it, is that its having the tracks mounted backwards, right way is when sprocket turns , then pin pulling bushing when driving forward,

Yeah I was planning on eventually turning the tracks around the right way.
I put a wico xh184 mag on this. And I guess I'm just not sure I have the firing order correct on the mag cap. My number one is on top right. And on the original number one was on bottom left. If anyone has any input that would be awesome! Thanks.

Dan, what part of Mn are you in? There are a few of us from Mn on here that might be able to stop by if needed.

As long as you know two things: which way the rotor turns and which "wire hole" the rotor is pointing to, when number one piston is at TDC on the compression stroke. Just start with number one and go around the holes and stuff the wires from each cylinder in them, in the firing order and in the direction of rotation. It ain't rocket surgery.
