Not quite in the antique realm, but certainly another Caterpillar institution in the Performance Handbook is destined to the pages of history. In its current format since 1970, the Performance Handbook will cease to be published, with the 2020 (edition 49) being the last ever edition. Reflecting digital technology, printed hardcopies made way to an electronic copy only being available, but now even these will no longer be available for download.
Back in November 2014 following the very successful 'Caterpillar' Rally at Lake Goldsmith, Vic the idea of a second Chapter in Australia gathered momentum, having been registered with ACMOC by Neil Clydsdale not long prior. Here are some photos from the memorable event and subsequent first formal meeting of the founding members at William Adams old board room. Enjoy!
I'm super excited that we now have our own landing page up and running on the fantastic new ACMOC website. We can use this to post information and blogs about Chapter events and stories and provide announcements in real time, rather than via the magazine and traditional email. PLUS we can share many more photos via this format, so if you have a story to share please email the details to the secretary on This email address is being protected from spambots. All members that paid for NHMA public liability insurance up to June 30, 2020 should now have received your cards in the mail. If your ACMOC membership renewal is due at the next quarter being 30th September 2020, you have the option to take this insurance policy when you renew through Chapter 19, for AUD $18, please contact the secretary for a form. Remember most rallies will require some form of evidence of public liability insurance for you to participate as anything other than a paying visitor at the gate.
