Anybody notice anything wrong with my installation? It didn't work at first. Chattered like crazy and would barely spin the diesel.

If that is a 24 volt starter you only have 12 volts going to the solenoid. There was not enough voltage to energize the solenoid which made it chatter. bboaz

Was kind of wondering why the wire tapped to one battery but didn't give it that much thought. Surely you would have known to provide 24v to the starter solenoid??

Good eye Boaz. Believe it or not the starter guy told me it only needed 12v to activate the solenoid. Then once the solenoid was activated the 24v would kick in.

Boaz, you coming to the show in a couple weeks? Been missing you ;-)

You must be talking Santa Margarita. We are going west this year. Grand Canyon for sure. The time we have and how far west we go will depend on Vicki's sister taking care of her mother. Sometime it puts a damper on what we are able to do, but that is part of taking care of mom.
