Gary,I came across "Murls Video" from a link on another site, To me, its a true treasure. Those jobs, the SanLuis Canal and "The Big Cut" are among the legends in earthmoving. And I have several old magazine copies on them both. To be able to see video of the TTSS-40's and the Ferry&Crowe equipment is a huge treat. I was able to download the video and watch it on my TV. Let Murl know that all those years ago, he was recording earthmoving history, and might not have even known it. He was fortunate to have worked on those jobs over the years.Regards, Tim Twichell.

Great pictures Tim,thanks for posting.Just talked to Murl again and he is pretty sure that it is him on 392.And Ian,you made Murls day by calling him.He never thought his video would get so much attention.
For those interested,Murl Walker is my wifes brother. He is 82.This video is also very dear to Shirley seeing her brothers working.Murl is #8 of 15 kids,46 years difference between #1and#15.
After many years in construction,he took up driving truck till his retirement in 2002.
He is currently living in the San Diego,Ca.area.
