Here is my grandpa's 1951 5U 6096 D2 with its new set of tracks I pieced together with the help of d2gary and the club. I've recently put the blade on again and next is the hood. The main engine slobbers pretty badly as you can see what it did to my face after running it for about 30 minutes. Hopefully that clears up a bit as we keep working it.

Interesting reading this thread then heading back home this afternoon, and right in front of me was a narrow bare bones D2, fender tank, not sure if it was a U or J from my vantage point, another rig ahead of it was another carcass probably a D2 could have been a 22.

If someone doesn't post another D2, I may as well go purchase another one to keep this thread alive... Just saying! And I might happen to know where a couple of cuties lay in wait. JM

Hi Gary, photos are a hobby of mine. I just saw these and I thought they had potential. I did a little retouch to them and enlarged them to 8 X 10. I will send them to you for free. If you want them send me a PM.

Great photos. What is the round thing on the left hand side of the seat?

Hi Paul, I hope Gary sees this and can tell you what that is.
If this were a cartoon I would say perhaps a X38 Space Modulator...LOL! That is if you are old enough to remember the old Martian loony tunes!
