Holy cow.... I'm not certain I could afford 1/2" wall square tubing in today's economy. I would need my heavy duty forklift to set it on and off if I were to make it removable. :) That's one nice brush guard Craig.

Still... I have to come up with something. I have already begun to experience the dangers if you are not watching everything when pushing brush. Sticks and branches that find their way to the cab when you aren't expecting them.

Hi Craig,

Received the OMI manual No 165 you provided the link for above.  I may have two issues here.  The link you provided above went to this manual on ebay.

I didn't think twice about it as I thought the serial numbers shown on the page were associated with the blade.  The second issue is what is above isn't the manual they sent me.  What I got was this....

See attached....

Apparently there is a No. 165 manual for all seasons?  What ever it is the content does not match the content you had shown above for a 44A so trying to figure out how I might address this with the seller.  Are you certain Craig that the link you provided above  was for the same manual you had and showed for a 44A?  If so somewhere along the line the seller changed it and then as I stated sent a newer version than what he changed it to that covers serials way beyond mine.  In fact, I am not even certain there are D6B's with serials of 70E1 and up.  Fortunately the price I paid isn't anything to get excited about but I would like to find the very manual you referenced initially.

I contacted the seller of the No 165 manual. Craig, can you provide a cover pic of the manual you have that references the 44A1/37A1 and up so I may pass it to him to see if he has that particular manual?

I'm sorry you received the wrong manual. The correct one is this:

Please look at your eBay purchase history to find where the mistake occurred.

The S/N on the cover of the correct No. 165 manual are for the hydraulic system itself, not the S/N of the tractor. The S/N for the hydraulic system is located on the hydraulic tank.

Hi Craig,

Thank you for the clarification on serial numbers. That is what I assumed before ordering so went ahead with the purchase. When I received the incorrect manual I then had second thoughts about what the serials shown applied to. I have since got in contact with the seller and they admit the mistake and will send out the proper manual you referenced in the first place which is the same link you provided the first time.

Just had a chance to look back at this thread and saw your question about shipping costs on the overseas parts I purchased from Blumaq. It has been several years since I purchased them, but I was shocked by how similar the shipping costs were to items I had purchased from this country. There were no real delays or high costs. The only big surprise I had was shipping cost on a radiator core I bought from within the U.S. It was shipped by truck and OUCH!

Well it was probably the only item on the truck...

Thank you for that info David

So the seller of the No. 165 manual checked his stocked and realized that the one I ordered went to a buyer who ordered the one I got. He refunded my monies and said keep the one I got. I have ordered the later link you provided Craig... hopefully I do not meet with the same demise. :)

As the man said... If it weren't for bad luck I'd have no luck at all....
