That looks like an amazing machine, I have never seen one before. Do you have any details and more pictures you can share?

Hi John. I think that might be my only photo. It is a one off built by some bored Australians with too much time on their hands. I think the engine is rated at 1200 horse power. The back end is out of a Ford tractor for memory. I think it may have been from a 6600. It was at the National Rally in Naracoorte South Australia many years ago.

Thanks Chris, being a one off explains it.

chris is that old rusty.

looks like it. i saw it at the nhma rally in narracoorte south aus. it had the arse end out of a centurion tank and a twin steer axle set up out of a truck at the front if memory serves out of a leader. the fuel tank was 4 44gal drums. the same family had a flat head v8 in a fordson. yes they had a engineering business and the boys built it for the hell of it and sumptin ta do. i think they also had a v8 powered grey fergueson too.

i had a few photos but they got deleted in a file transfer snafu.
and we lost nearly all the picks we had from that trip we also went to the naracoorte caves, the blue lake at mt gambier (the water actually comes from mountain streams papua new ginea, minerals in the rock and the water refract light making it change to the blue colour) the national rail and maritime museums in adelaide.

Yes Trainkid that’s the machine. Couldn’t remember what it all was made of. There was a board with all the specs but i was more interested in the line up of Cats. I used to go to the Mount a bit as i lived over the border in Vic not far away. Used to go over there and work a bit too. There were a few yards in the industrial areas to find some Cats sitting around.
