chuckb. THANK YOU Sir. Smile. Your CAT GAS R5 Manifold Complete System from Cat Cave Meeting Cat Inc Approval was Good enough for myself. But Now with Comments from yourself . Saying Cat Cave castings are the Best quality. From CHUCKB Himself. SMILE Really does mean a LOT. Cheers You Know all about the Cat Cave Castings Project History..

chuckb. Snr Catman really enjoys when you Ring him for a chat on the Phone. You need to Phone Catman Snr ASAP. Regarding your Idea of Cat Cave Re-Manufacturing the three different Versions of the BEST 60 thou to CAT 60 Manifold systems. If you Generate Enough Interest for a Batch Run. Like 48 off each part. All Interchangeable back to Blue Prints. Simple Parts to RE-MAKE. Only the Bigger Brother to the Cat 30 Manifold System. Hence EASY to Cast Up being a Larger Manifold System. Hence more SPACE inside the Cavity Jacket... Cat Cave can Re-Manufacture Them.

it really is a labour of love. and becoming a bit of a lost art. alot of engine parts these days are injection molded from reinforced plastic or machined from billets of material.

the making of hand made patterns is going by the wayside some what.

those parts have come out very nicely.
and yes thats the challenge getting enough people together to do a batch run.

its a credit to you. i probably wouldnt be able to get you to make stuff for me as the freight cost would be killer.
you havent got a pattern for the final drive oil cups as used on the u series machines? we're missing one on our machine we have a hydrualic elbow and bung in there which works but it would be nice to have the factory setup.

yeah those brass tags would be fairly cheap postage as there only thin sheet. what would be nice is a starting procedure tag they have gone for decals by the time my machine rolled off the line as its a 1954 model d4 6u

Trainzkid88, I drawn the Line at Pre 1936. Apart from the Fred H. California Museum Collection Piece a D2 1951 Electric Start Wide Gauge Tail Seat. Inside my CAVE Possibly the only one This Side. Moved on from the End of the Brass Plate Project, Followed the Same Blue Print Data But Printed on Vinyl Instead of Acid Etching Brass.

Using Top End Spec Industrial Vinyl . Laminated. All back to Blue Prints.

Instructions Changed from ACID ETCH BRASS to Decal back in 1932.

Cat-Cave stocked Instruction Decals Include the Following. After the Cat-Cave Brass Acid Etch Black Emanuel and Sir lack Clear Coating (Oven Cooked in the process as per BLUE PRINT DATA)..

Caterpillar Instructions Decal No 1 1B 8785 7C / 8C / 25 / 28
