Moulding - I love those first two especially. I've never seen a dealer marking inside a gauge face, that one is really neat. I always love the brass, hand punched rebuild information. I'll dig around, somewhere I took a photo of one, not even sure who's tractor it is on now, that had the date and a lot of the spec.s, just like your second one.
Those just seem to jump off the side of the tractor and speak to me. I can almost picture the face of the man with the punches, making that up after the many hours of labor doing the rebuild.
Pete.

Thanks Rome K/G. That makes sense!
I found that photo of the information plate. I can't remember who's tractor this is attached to, but it sure is cool. Like I said, I can just almost picture the man who stamped all this out and did all the work.
Pete.

Cat Dealer History has always interested me.
Very much the same for myself Dave, the dealers past and present are as big as the yellow iron thats been created and they have sold and serviced. I feel very fortunate to have completed my aprenticeship as a plant mechanic at Wack & Jacks as was the name coined by the industry for the dealer i worked at back in the 80,s and 90,s.

D6 Pete, Stone machinery was where our 7U came from. I’ve still got a couple sales flyers from them. Your sticker is the same one our 7U has. Dad bought it in ‘69.
Thanks
BP.

Pete, unfortunately I don’t still have Dad’s 7U. I sold it to my brother in law so it’s still in the family. You can bet I’ll snap it up if he sells it.
Here is a newer sticker from my D6B.
