Finally got my first tractor was created by ironman3406

I am pretty excited about my purchase this morning. Cat D2 5U. Cant wait to get it home to start the work on it. As much as I enjoy working on my grandfathers collection with him, I am excited to have my own piece.
What do you guys think?

Congrats on the purchase! I know the feeling as I purchased my D2 about a year ago. Keep us posted on your progress and post plenty of pictures.

Can't beat a nice little D2 with an angle blade. Handy as a thumb, easy to get onto and off of, gets into all those tight spots where you need to tow stuff and yet big enough to do some real work.

Congratulations, you'll have a lot of fun. As you observed, working on your own is just a little bit better.

Looks like a nice straight tractor, congratulations, you will have a lot of fun on her for sure, those D2 have a nice sounding diesel engine.

Build the shed a lot bigger than that D2. Just look at Martin and see your future. Yellow fever sneaks up and has no cure. Only relief is to go but another yellow macine for a fix. Keep fishing. :fish2:
