Well, mrsmackpaul - So you're saying your not an advocate of laying the tubeless tire and rim you just repaired down on the roadside, shooting the ether around and lighting it to get it mounted?
I've seen those safety videos about the pyrolytic reactions that can get started that way, sometimes exploding the tire right away, other times taking minutes or hours before they flash over. Definitely not a good idea.
RussellTurner - Good point. It seems the last couple of times I bought tubes and flaps, they cost more together than the tire they were going in.
Fortunately or unfortunately, things definitely seem to be moving in the tubeless direction for lots of reasons.
Pete.

Pete that is exactly what Im saying , mate I got so much fur on me I would likely go woof in a big ball of smoke
Any tube tyres I have bought always come with tubes and rust bands or flaps as you fellas call them
On tubeless tyres I have found when screwing the trailer around hard the bead can let go so have found on smaller rims like these mentioned here its best to run tubes as well in normal tubeless tyres
Paul

Hey GarlicPete,
My older brother Greg would get upset if you used his either can for starting an engine. He claimed he only carried it to fix flat tires... Hahaha... He used to love getting a tire to explode itself on a bead... Instant Smile...
