Yeah thank you for that!
I'll get in touch with them, as the one I have is the brass model before they went to pewter.
I'll keep hunting on ebay though, but you're right, pretty sure they were also in a couple of old vehicles too, so potentially they're out there, just listed under a different number..
Cheers

If you're prepared to wait, I'll be over at Xmas so I could bring one over. Does it have to be brass or is any working pump ok? Mine is 1J3796W and I'm pretty sure the pump body looks brass. I guess I'll see when I get there (I'll be splitting it to free up the clutch and replace the plate and bearings)
Cheers,
Neil

Nic, a little funny way to keep it looking original Take the guts out of your pump and put it back on as a flow thru. It will certainly look original and should run fine. I bought a rebuild kit for mine from "Then and Now automotive" I think that is the correct name. Google will find it. Good Luck. Grant.

I had a pump here off my 22 that had the guts removed, as GrantJ suggests, and they had filled the bowl with solder. I had a second pump here off another 22 with a busted diaphram and push rod, and sent it to Then and Now for them to rebuild, they did a great job, from memory it cost around $US180, but that must have been about 10 years ago.
There is an old thread on here from that time, about repairing those SW pumps found on the Cat 22, maybe one of the smarter guys can find that thread.
Good luck
Mike

Hi Neil,
That would be fantastic if you could source one over there and bring it over. I'd say you'd have far better luck in finding one than I would here. Thoroughly appreciate the offer! Brass would be ideal but as long as it works beggars can't be choosers.
Cheers Nic

Hi Grant,
Appreciate the insight. I did purchase a rebuild kit from them, but I believe it's missing the push rod, I have to confirm with them if that's apart of the kit? One would assume it is, but will follow up with them. Worse comes to worse I'll most likely take that option just to keep it looking original.
I don't intend on repainting the whole machine, I'll eventually strip, repair, put back together and then clear coat it all to keep the original patina.
Cheers Nic

Hi Mike,
Thanks for that! I'll have a look through some of the threads and see if I can source anything. I currentlt cant find a video from Then and Now automotive on the rebuild procedure on YouTube, but I'm thinking best bet would be to get in touch with them directly. Thanks again
Cheers Nic

Nic,
If nobody closer provides you with a pump, I can get that one off of my friends 22 and ship it to Neil next fall. I think that it's pewter but didn't look closely and it is missing the glass bowl.
I like Grant's idea. I think that I will try it on one of my 22s.

Hi Pete,
Thank you for the offer. Will most certainly keep that in mind. I've got several glass bowls, so that wouldn't be an issue.
Cheers Nic
