OM---any idea on the 4U series? I do have the plate and hole on the housing so does that mean an original 40mt starter would fit right in?

Thanks Stephen. I haven’t picked up this tractor yet; I was hoping that anything that late would already have the hole punched in it for an electric starter. JMBelieve it should. Look for a cover plate under the pinion control. To use an original hole you will need an original starter or alter the hole to fit a later starter.

"I also joined a year ago. had been on here a couple of times as a non-member and found the info very helpful so I got a one year subscription (not very expensive at all) to try it out. I really like all the resources on here so I just got a three year. I think its a very small price for what you can get out of this site."
