The sleeves I used were 5P6222 and 5P6220.

The inner one has a thread in it and screws onto the sprocket retaining nut thread, I then screwed a stud in the end of it (the inner sleeve has a thread in it for this also) and slid the hollow ram over it and retained the end of the stud against the piston of the ram. The outer sleeve slides over the inner one and sits between the cylinder and sprocket. So when you pump the ram, it pushes the outer sleeve against the sprocket thus pushing it on.

Really you only need the inner sleeve that has the threads to screw onto the sprocket retaining nut thread and thread the other end so you can screw a stud into it. The outer sleeve is purely just a spacer and could be easily manufactured - I can measure mine if you want.

Those two that I quoted were only the sleeves per Billy's post, not the cylinder.

The 5P6220 is just a bit of Pipe that is 440mm long with an internal Dia' of 138mm , it's fitted with 2 slotted holes although 1 would be O.K. they start from the end 55mm and run to 165mm with a width of 40mm, any good section pipe with an internal measurement the same or slightly larger would do, these are for working on the D7E through G, the Deadshaft nut needs a 3" socket to undo it, the threads on the Deadshaft are 2"1/8 x 12, the adaptor that fit's onto the Deadshaft is an 8M9013, you can pull and push the Sprocket on via this adapter with a spacer plate behind to pull the rim free, the legs are the short ones 5F9839 x 3, the adapter that screws onto the Service Press is 7M9774 = 100 ton or 5F9888=70 ton, they will both fit either cylinder, the pin Dia' is 1"3/16 and 7/8", there is a press plate that fits into the end of the sleeve (5P6220) that fits onto the cylinder push face. tctractors

They sold the original Cat press out the back door before the auction...it was there up until about 11AM and then it suddenly disappeared.

The second one, American Hydraulics brand went for $4230! Just a hair over what I wanted to give.

The search continues.
