I think this is the is the correct version due to welding and the mating of two diggerent units the power is definatly a 10-20 mc cormick my unit has a 15-30 mc cormick these were the Industrial versions of the farm tractor minus the front axle and substituted rear wheels for the old style flat spokes and steel spud cleats side seat explained the conversion perfectly the 10 -20 would be much more manuverable than the cat or they could have just worn out the cat and tried something different that sure is a good looking grader with modifications what an interesting piece of history!!!

OK I believe we all agree that from the plating and welding forward it is definitely CATERPILLAR MOTOR PATROL the rear tractor [power unit] from the weld back is nor CAT somebody jooined the two together side seat said it all when he stated that there were NO welds in the motor patrol or Auto Patrol frames yes this is probably a ONE of a kind and you sure have done an EXCELLENT job of restoration i have done one grader and all sides of all the iron needs to be cleaned and painted as for VALUE that is anybody's guess based on the amount of work that you have put into this i hope someone will reward you for your efforts thanks chuck
