Hi Bill,
It is very hard to tell since these gauges were used in all types of Cat equipment from Crawlers to graders to stationary power units etc. A rough guess would be by 1954-55 there were no large face beveled glass gauges being installed on machinery at the factory. Mind you again, I'm taking a guess. I'm probably wrong though, so don't hold it against me.:lol:

Yes, that was going to be my guess. 55 was a big year for change. The D8800 and D13000 changed to the later engines, D337's went to Turbo's and the D9 came out. For that era, big changes were happening. Thanks again. Bill

Is there a modern gauge from the auto parts supply that would work?
2. The gauge I have is in pieces. The case seems to have corroded and crumbled away.
