Hi all, unfortunately the head I got from John is also "badly cracked" according to the engine rebuilder who Magnafluxed it. So, I'm still on the lookout for a head, ideally from a running (or recently running) engine, that does not leak combustion gases into the coolant or vice versa.

If you're serious about joining us for some hijinks, Daron has several 3J heads, one of which he might be persuaded to part with. Daron really enjoys trading, and the more esoteric and interesting the trade, the better.
I'm pretty sure all of his heads are in good shape, but I could arrange to have one magnafluxed so you'd be sure before we pulled the trigger on the deal. Well, at least I'm pretty sure his D2 heads are in good shape. I really can't speak for the one on his shoulders, because he keeps joining us for hijinks himself and that alone should call into question the fitness of the head on his shoulders.
Anyway, we can probably figure something out for a 3J head for you and Garlic Mom is always up for fresh meat to put to work, err, I mean visitors to show off the collection.

Sounds good Pete, and I'm easy to sell down the river, errr contribute my time to a good cause : ). I'm talking to the vendor later this week so I should be able to get some more concrete info on when / where this project is. I want to say up around SF way - course, I could be half a continent off....
