George, was juste curious. I thought that maybe Brenda or Don said No to the use of them. I have read them and look forward to seeing them in print. The reason I brought it up was a while back the magazine was looking for articles.

TW, actually, I want to get some appropriate photos from the Cat archives to go with the article, and didn't have a good inside source until recently. Then add to that my usual sloth, and it adds up to no good. When I get unpacked I'll get busy with it. Also, a lot of energy has been going into board meetings and lots of club business that you just don't see because it is day-to-day stuff. We are trying to make improvements to the club, but it takes energy and time to make the right decisions. Old Magnet noted above that he hasn't seen much in the newletters that ad value to his membership, and I fully understand. The changes will be a little gradual, but I hope that the members will be pleased with what happens over the next few months. Time will tell. GWH

George, I set on a board of directors for a local club up this way. Not as big as ACMOC, but getting there as we have about 600 members. I have found whet ever you do you can not please everyone.

Terry, that is correct. You can't please everyone, but I think a better job can be done. It is amazing how much time it takes, though, to "do a better job". GWH

GWH,
Personally I don't give a rip what you do with the magazine but it seems like the same old drill. Consult members last, just throw something out there and see if it will fly??? How about a plan and proposal for consideration first. If you are looking for a first class format, get a hold of a copy of the "V8 Times", newsletter for the Early Ford V8 Club of America. Very well organized with shows, chapter info, technical articles, classifieds, archive articles, etc. Also a very clever use of advisers to field questions on certain era models. Makes the ACMOC version look like "bush league".

Hi B4D2,
Don't know what to say.......wasn't trying to single anyone out. What got me going was the survey results in the last issue which once you cut through the fluff it seems most are looking for the how and where to get the info and parts to keep their machines running. The administration seems more bent on making money. The "how to run your bathtub" safety article was a real classic. Of all the equipment related safety topics, how did they ever land on that one:rolleyes:  OK, I'm to critical but that's the kind of stuff I notice and if no one says anything where will it go???
