Steve if you go to the box that says action and click on the reply option the subject box will fill in and you can post . I had to do this when the website change over happened on my d2 thread. I tried other ways on your thread but thats the only way I could post

Last fall I decided to insulate the garage install some LED lighting and add a permanent heat source.
I went with one of these Modine Effinity heaters I gambled buying a 55000 BTU unit on LPG. It worked out pretty good but need to use the torpedo heater to get the chill off when it's down in the teens.

That's pretty slick both Steve and Scott. Scott for the workaround to the subject issue, and Steve for the shop setup. I insulated my two-car garage a couple of seasons ago and added a 240v 3000w heater and it is night and day for getting stuff done in winter, particularly if you leave the heat on, eventually anything parked in there will warm up too
Cheers,
Neil

Just followed the thread from beginning to end. Impressive work on the Motor Patrol! And well done on the garage. Confess to a just a tiny bit of envy. I have a heated garage for my F250 and my 4Runner--but Hanna the grader has to brave the cold and snow.

Now on to the final drive disassembly.
Made a connector nut and sleeve to push the bull gear off.

Took a measurement before pushing the gear off of how many threads are exposed so I know where it's supposed to be on reassenbly.
The Little guy wanted to help take the bearing retainer bolts out so the brake drums can be removed.

Got a good deal on a used Hotsy pressure washer. This thing makes cleaning up the castings a breeze.
Cleaned up good enough. These bearings appear to be in good shape but the others in the finals will need replaced.
Off to my big shop to get these ready for sandblasting.
