Ron - I must say for a guy who's had a couple of previous powerstrokes that have led him into some dire straits you sure are a loyal Ford fan. I just hope that this new truck never gets a chance to finish you off like the attempts that the others made! It would be a shame if that new high/wide 15 never got a chance to go to the show. Good luck and stay safe.

If it wern't for ford kickin in so much it would have been a duramax for sure
just can't see leting go of that much money. I checked with the GM dealer today and he said I would have to loose around three grand to get into a gm now and I would have to give up around 2100 hauling cap too. So I will drive this for a while and see how it goes. Got 400 miles on tonite and you can tell its losening up already, I will tow trailer for a couple hundred miles sat and we will see how that goes. Seems to have a very wide power band and is really smooth.

Ron,what ford did you get? I was looking at either the F350 or F450.The dealer was telling me that the 08 450 will out pull my 2000 550. I will most likely go with a F250,and use one of my macks(real truck) to pull my old Cats around. My Cat15 motorpatrol weighs in at close to 13,000 and with a trailor the weight would be somewhere close to 10 ton. With that weight I will be able to throw acouple more tractors on the lowboy. My R-model macks that I have are all in the 1979 model year with anywhere from 50,000 to 90,000 miles on them so they are just about broke in.Mike Durkin
