Congrats on your D6D!! I know of a D6D east of here that has been turned up to 300HP....the mechanic that told me about it says it rivals or exceeds the AG6...depends on your ground ( how steep?) you will be able to pull some prettyPicked up a D6D SA 5X1100 series tractor. Tractor has a 5 speed transmission and stock engine (non-variable horsepower).
Those of you farming with these tractors, what's the largest implement you've pulled? Really curious what this thing can do.
What's the process to increase the horsepower? Heard of guys turning these up to 250hp.
Thanks!

DJ it stands to reason that if HP is doubled that oher parts are going to take a much harder beating & in this case as you stated is the tranny.Things are engineered for a certain load so to overload it something has to suffer the blow.

"I also joined a year ago. had been on here a couple of times as a non-member and found the info very helpful so I got a one year subscription (not very expensive at all) to try it out. I really like all the resources on here so I just got a three year. I think its a very small price for what you can get out of this site."
