Hi Grant, by any chance would you have the Napa numbers for the 4/5U filters/gaskets?
Cheers,

Excellent info thanks! will order 4. Mine looked like old wool socks - i certainly hope the fuel pushes thru the outside in lol otherwise im in trouble. Serviced all 4 injectors and set the height today - until my pony motor seized
Checked oil last week and it was full - noticed loss of power while bleeding fuel system and shut down - rotated by hand and crank is stuck - now im prob gonna be pulling the pony motor out. was hoping to not have to dig in this deep- main was puffing and really trying to start but pony ran out of muscle so ..
what are my next moves? can i pull the two heads to check valves? I presume they are in the block and entire engine removal is required to take a look?

Niel, I am not sure if I got the D2 numbers for the my J series D2 or my U series D2. The fuel filter (from my notes) is the same as the D4 U series. Napa 3825 or Wix 33825 and the gaskets are Napa 5754 and 5753. The oil filter for the D2 J series is Napa1165 or Wix 31165.
I dont have my parts books in front of me right now, so I dont know if both series D2s take the same filters.
A Napa store is usually much easier to find than a Cat dealer and I assume that Napa parts are less money. Grant.

The d2 and d4 take the same fuel filters. The d4 uses 4 and the d2 uses 3. Those numbers should be good for filters but gaskets will vary by model
