I have a Cat D4D 7R503 and i need some parts for my blade. Please bear with me as i do not know all the parts correct names. What I have is a 10ft wide blade with one tilt cylinder on the right side and a rigid brace on the left. What i need is the brace that runs from the left arm to the blade (horizontal to the ground) to keep the blade from racking left to right. The one on the right is ok, but i broke the one on the left this weekend. Can anyone help me? I think I have attached a photo with the part i need circled. Thank you, Dave.

You need a Cat # 2J4140 Arm Assembly (same both sides)
or if it's just the eye-bolt that broke a Cat #3F5567

Do a search in the construction equipment parts section of www.machinerytrader.com they have several listed...Regal being one of them, which has good prices on aftermarket parts.

Thank you for the information Old Magnet. I need the whole assembly as the one i have has been welded solid by the previous owner and parts are not replaceable on it. the right side is still adjustable.

As requested, here are some more photos. the first two are of the blade at the fabricators and the others were taken when it got home. Not too bad for an eBay purchase.

ceo-cdr,
Just as a point of interest the 7R series (low ground pressure - 70 in. gage) were assembled in France (1973).
My sometimes right info source shows the change from the D330 to he 3304 at serial number 434 so you just made it into the better engine series.
That machine is closest to the U.S. built 83J model (powershift) although the 83J is a 60 in. gage.
Shopping for the U.S. equivalent model may have better parts recognition. That's what I had to do to find the blade parts.

Nice looking machine and super blade fab. job.

I have found a couple of places that have the part. Now my question is how do i remove the pin on the blade push arm that seems to be stuck in place? this would be the pin that goes through the eye of the arm assembly and connects it to the main push arm of the blade. I cannot seem to budge that pin, even when i try hitting it with a 10lb maul. I believe it to be rusted in place. Any suggestion? Thank you, Dave.

Yes, they can be a bear.
Serious case of heat and beat.....you might want to up size that hammer.
If the pin is shot anyway you might just want to torch it out and replace it.

pin is not shot and seems very solid, just rusted tight in the holes. the bolt to lock the pin in place on the bottom has been broken off. the main pin itself seems intact. very awkward place to swing. can't get much leverage swinging up. I have not tried the heat-n-beat method, yet. when they took the old blade off, they had problems with the push arm pin on this side also. heat-n-beat did not work for them, they had to use a portapower press to get that pin out out. Right side seems fine and is not as snug as the left.
