So what exactly is wrong with the Diesel converter, or is it a problem with the single plate clutch?

I understand now about the differences, looks like I’ll keep searching for a torque converter, wonder if there’s a company out there that could repair it. I’m not exactly sure the guy that has it said the torque converter was bad and he’s already unbolted the output yoke and removed all housing bolts except a couple. I believe he said he had replaced the clutch before and even the torque converter as well. Would be a nice machine if someone can get it operating again.
