Repowers might offend some but I like seeing ingenuity so post anyway. I'm assuming it'll be an IH engine of some sort given it'll be on Redpower? There have been some interesting repowers over the years - often with modern high-speed engines which makes finding a low enough gear a challenge

Just a ih guy at heart. Ive got a cummins 3 3 mated to a th350 and transfer case should give a wot final rpm right around a 1000 plus a automatic transmission in the mix to make speed changes. The motor has a hydraulic pump attached i plan to use a hydraulic motor to spin the lift tower.
Redpower is my home forum if you will.

Sounds pretty cool and good thinking with the transfer case, definitely link to it here so we can take a look. Did it take much to figure out what combination would work?

I already own the engine transmission t case combo. Its a industrial engine that came out of a mine truck. Knew the axle ratio and tire size to worked back to driveshaft speed.

Sleeves and rings are available from Cat. They are the same as the early D8 engines. Rods and pistons are not available anymore as the crank throw and pistons were changed when they turned the 3 cylinder into a 6 cylinder D8 motor. You can push the sleeve out with the piston froze in it and then cut the cylinder off if push comes to shove.
