This old girl followed me home... its my first cat serial 6k387 it appears complete pony motor is free but needs a tune up. Big motor is locked up drove to where it was last parked. Stack was left uncovered. Going to add some atf and acetone to the cylinders in a attempt to free them. I'm sure I'll have more questions as time goes on and I resurrect this beast

Welcome to the forum! Your FIRST Cat of many more! That seems to be a pretty tidy blade you have. Best luck on the "loose juice" concoction; many have used it and works. Be patient with it and let us know how things progress.

Welcome aboard. There a couple of parts books in the ACMOC library for tandem axle NO. 11 Auto Patrol graders. You need to be a paying member not just a user to see them. Becoming a paying member would also let you see our quarterly magazine. I think you would enjoy it.
Please consider it,
Craig

Does this shaft hook directly. To the motor would it be a decent place to try to turn the motor...after the stuff has time to work of course.

just tear down the motor and be done with it, you may break something trying to force it.

the best part is you know what you have to deal with, then you will know exactly what you have, going forwards there is no unknown or wondering,

You should be able to fix that. Going to take a lot of persistence though. Pull it apart and see what you got.
Is the head cracked anywhere?
Sandblasting those water passages will take care of the rust but it's going to have to be totally dismantled if you want to go that far.
